Obituary of Lorna Frances Oakley

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and friend.  In her 81st year and surrounded by her family and friends she quietly passed on Thursday April 26th at St. Joseph’s hospital. Beloved mother to Karen (Bruce) Corrin, Rob (Terry) Oakley and Brian Oakley. Devoted grandmother to Scott (Jennifer) Corrin, Jeffrey Corrin and Robert Oakley.  Special great grandmother to Sadie Corrin. Predeceased by her husband, Robert Oakley, parents Marquerite and Jack Cartwright, and her sister Carol.  As per her wishes a private graveside service and interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery, London. A celebration of Lorna’s life will take place on Friday June 15 from 6-9pm at ‘The Elizabeth Street Pump House’ 447 Elizabeth Street Grimsby, ON L3M 3C2 .  Donations would be appreciated in her honour to Community Living London and The Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra.
