I am so sad that Gerhard could not win his final health battle with cancer. Gerhard and I had many lively discussions concerning history and politics. He loved knowing the fine details of events both past and present and always had the most interesting thing to impart. Gerhard was fascinated with numbers and loved accounting and taxes. He has given me lots of helpful advice over the years encouraging me to be successful in business. He watched my boys grow up and said he was so proud of them. Gerhard will be missed by our family. I worked with Gerhard since the 1980’s. We were co-workers, friends and confidants. He was a good friend, he had a very dry wicked sense of humour. He loved his daughters unconditionally. He was a good man and I will miss him.

Ever since I met Lisa, she would often talk about her Dad. He would call her nearly every evening to chat and check on each other. Often, she’d disappear into the next room for a while to chat with him. I know she loves him dearly.
Lisa, I’m so sorry for your loss.
