Obituary of Bertha Klepeckas
Bertha Ann Klepeckas, in her 60th year, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 2 at LHSC-Vic Campus with her family by her side. She will be deeply missed by her mother, Donna; brother, Victor and his wife, Jill and her children, Carly and Joel Shields; nephew, Nathan Klepeckas and his wife, Alana, and their two daughters, Sydney and Lucy. She was predeceased by her father: Frank; Aunt: Ann Oleka; Grandparents: Peter and Antanina Gudelitis and her beloved cats Susie and Max. Bertha will be remembered for her love of felines. She often left plates of food on the porch for the strays in the neighbourhood and an occasional “white striped” visitor. The family is grateful to Paul and John Pritiko, owners of Burwell Autobody Ltd., where she was employed for over 13 years and affectionately known as “Bert”. Her workplace was her second family and “happy place” during the week. Special thanks to Dr. Akira Sugimoto and his team and the loving, compassionate caregivers on the 4th floor; especially, Adele, Dorothy and Feli. As per Bertha’s wishes, her cremation has taken place and no funeral will be held. A celebration of Bertha’s life will be arranged at a future date.
