Dear Nancy, I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I had sent a thank you card to you and your Dad at the hospital for the beautiful rose you sent the day of Dad's funeral and the card was returned to me yesterday in the mail. I called Parkwood and they informed of your Dad's passing. I had written a note expressing how Dad enjoyed Bob's friendship and how comforting it was to receive the rose from you and your Dad. He always had a smile and a kind word when I visited. I will cherish the painting he gave me and have fond memories of Dad's time at Parkwood. They were great roommates! I know they both had great long life but they will be missed. Know I am thinking of you and your family at this time. Although we miss them , we will always cherish our memories . Love Susan Russell Marchand suemarchand1948@gmail.com

I was truly saddened to hear the news of “Scouter Bob” passing. My deepest and sincere condolences to his family. May he Rest In Peace!
Bob was my scouter in the 70’s and I feel privileged to say that. He always had time or made time for us and always willing to guide us.
He taught us not only scouting but life lessons as well that I still carry to this day.
I know he will be greatly missed!!
Dave Oates.

Nancy, Connie and Janet. I just want to express my dearest sympathy with the passing of Uncle Bob. I will always remember Dad and him around the campfire at the cottage playing their respective instruments. They had many memorable fishing trips to Northern Ontario in which I still have the old 8mm films I converted to digital last year. Your mom and mine were responsible for these two men becoming great friends. Aunt Betty was also one of the most soft spoken beautiful ladies I remember from my childhood. Please take care knowing Dad and uncle Bob are probably singing Abilene together once again.

I met Bob back in the early 70's, when I was working summers in Central Stores. He was an electrician, and a good one. He was also, like most of the tradesmen, a really soft touch for government jobs. Some of them are still with us; some, like Bob, have been called home. If He needs a light fixed, he won't have to look far with Bob there! Heck of a good guy. Ed Woods.

My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends. Lots of fond memories of Bob. My Mom has a painting he did of the queen which he gave her for her birthday. As well we purchased a painting he did of Dunkirk. He was so talented. We Spent a lot of time chatting with Bob down in the arts department and admiring his work. He will be fondly remembered as a gentle soul.
We will miss him dearly. Hugs and prayers to you all. Margaret Smith and Jeremy DeGrace.

My sincerest condolences to the family of Mr Armstrong. The picture of him holding one of his paintings that I purchased from the Veteran's Art sale will mean even more now. He will certainly live on in the beautiful artwork he painted so vividly. Take comfort in one another and share your memories knowing he and your mom are smiling down together.
