Obituary of Stephen Priestley

PRIESTLEY, Stephen - July 12, 1954 - October 14, 2016, at age 62, on a warm autumn day with blue skies and beautifully coloured trees, Steve left us to join his parents, Jim (2004) and Winifred (2012) and brother, Alan. Steve was born in Blackburn, England and came to Canada at the age of 4. He spent his childhood and teenage years growing up in Toronto and then moving to Stratford and St. Thomas. He loved hockey and football and was a true Leafs and Raiders fan. Steve had a quick-wit and a great sense of humor, both of which he maintained throughout his courageous battle with cancer. He will be forever missed by his sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Harvey Weir. He is survived by his cousins in England, Susan and John Coupe, Jane Priestley, John Debbie and Jack Priestley. Our thanks and gratitude go to all the amazing and wonderful staff in the Palliative Care Unit at Parkwood Hospital. Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Parkwood, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. Cremation has taken place.
