Obituary of Annette Aline Alger

Alger, Annette Aline:  August 6, 1943 to August 6, 2021

With her family by her side and on her terms, Annette passed away peacefully in her home in London, Ontario.  With strong determination, she lived with the challenges of ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) for the last nine months.

Loving Mom to Stephen (Tammy) and Kevin (Rhonda) and Grandma to Libby, Mallory, Lauren, Kendall, and Violet.  She is excited to be with her dogs again – Stephie and Jesse.

Annette leaves behind her brother Roland (Hugette) Boileau and many nieces and nephews to continue the family stories and laughter, of which she enjoyed immensely.  Predeceased by her parents, Romuald and Evelyn Boileau of North Bay, and by her brothers Ubald (Rita) and Gerard (Fern) and sister Claudette (John, Larry) Johnston-Liscumb.

Annette’s family would like to thank the numerous people on her medical care team for their very dedicated and personal commitment to supporting her wishes in this challenging final journey in her life, particularly nurse Florence Mahro and Dr. Jill Chettiar.  Sincere appreciation is also extended to Annette’s neighbour, Ljubinka Ilievska, for her friendship and care.

Cremation has occurred, with interment at Woodland Cemetery (493 Springbank Drive, London) to take place on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 10 am.  A lunch gathering to celebrate Annette’s life will follow at noon at Springbank Park (covered picnic site F).  Due to COVID requirements, friends and family wishing to attend either or both of these casual events are asked to RSVP to kevin@appletr.ca / .

Donations in memory of Annette to a pet charity of your choice or the ALS Society would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
