Obituary of Constant Aloïs Venesoen
Constant Venesoen passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London, Ontario on September 8, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Lillian Venesoen, wonderful father to Paul (Angela), Philippe (Randa} and Eric (Heidi). Caring grandfather to Alexander, Victoria, Natalie, Mason and Nicholas. Loving great grandfather to Estelle.
Constant was a professor in the Department of French Studies at Western University from 1967-1995. He was a prolific writer specializing in 17th century French literature with dozens of articles and books published over the years, most notably his Les Loisirs de Madame de Maintenon published by Classiques Garnier (2011) at the age of 81. His last book publication was L'Anti-Jésuitisme (2018).
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at Woodland Cemetery.
