Obituary of John Hodge

Surrounded by his family, John (Jack) Hodge died peacefully on March 19, 2017, at London Health Sciences Centre (University), in his 83rd year. Jack was the beloved husband of Beryl Hodge (née Gill) for 59 years. Loving father of Alison Olmsted (Michael), Liz Compton (William), and Fiona Wilson-Hodge (Doug). Dearest Granddad to Nicholas, Alexandra, Cameron, Maggie, and Katherine. Jack will be missed by the parish of St. Aidan’s Church, and the Huron University Archives, as well as his former colleagues at the London Free Press, and his many friends. Memorial services will be at St. Aidan’s Anglican Church, London on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 1pm. Jack’s family is forever grateful for the loving care he received in the Emergency Department and ICU at University Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted by The Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Parish of St. Aidan’s Church, or the London Health Sciences Foundation.
