Obituary of Anna Otilia Elizabeth McAlpine

After many years of struggling with health issues, Anna peacefully passed away at McCormick Home, in London, Ontario on April 8 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Bob McAlpine (May 5, 2000), loved mother of Kim McAlpine (Paul Watkinson) and Karen Knowles (Dennis), loving grandmother of Christine and Robert Knowles. Survived by brothers Roy Grey (Patsy) and Al Grey (Penny). Predeceased by her older brother Robert Grey. Dear sister in law to Margaret. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Anna, are asked to consider the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Parkinson Society in lieu of flowers. Following Anna’s wishes, she will be cremated with a private family interment. Born on the family farm near Colonsay, Saskatchewan, Anna was a proud westerner. As a young woman, she moved to Ontario, continued her hairdressing career, and married Bob McAlpine on Aug. 1, 1958. Anna loved to dance and enjoyed playing music for others on the piano, accordion, or guitar and often entertained the residents at various senior homes across London.
