I was sad to see this. I knew Mr. McCann (as I called him) many years ago when I went to public school and high school with his son Stephen. Even though I knew him 40 years ago, he had an impact on me because he was always so nice to me and such a caring person. I always thought he was a great Dad as he came out to watch Stephen play all his soccer and basketball games. I remember he would always make sure I got home safe on my bicycle at night and would follow me in his old Datsun all the way home after a long day hanging out with Stephen.
