Obituary of Doris Jacqueline Bradley

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Doris Jacqueline Bradley on April 10th, 2022 in her 82th year of life.  Beloved wife for over 62 years to Ray (predeceased).  Cherished mother to Carrie, Lorie (Tom Balla) and Scott (Kelly Whiteman).  Dear grandma to Kaitlin.  Loved dearly by her sister Pauline (Claude Marchand).  Predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Rose (Renaud), her brothers Raymond, Murray (Jeannine) and sister Carmen.

Doris was born in Sudbury, Ontario.  She was a shy, beautiful, soft-spoken, sweet girl who completed her secondary school graduation diploma at the Sudbury Mining and Technical School (1957).  While there she was part of the Majorettes.  With her feathered hat, petticoat,  tassel boots and twirling baton she participated alongside marching bands at parades and sport events.  She quickly caught the eye of her future husband Ray and the love of her life.  Very soon after marrying, she proudly started her family.  Although pursuing some part-time and casual receptionist/clerk roles, Doris was mainly a stay-at-home mom.  She was the core essence of the family.  Often called a "Saint", she was always by her husband's side supporting his career and active social endeavours.  A gentle soul, selfless and giving, always creating a beautiful home to enjoy her family.  As the nest emptied her passion for Real Estate led  to focusing on her own career.  In 1986 she received her Real Estate License at Cambrian College, Sudbury.  That is when she blossomed.  Starting in 1986, she worked in a number of firms:  John E. Smith Realty, Sudbury, Freure Homes Ltd., Kitchener, Pine Lakes Country Club, Fort Myers, Florida, Z Group and Rembrandt Homes (London).  She was presented with the Top Sales Manager award in 2007/2008 and recipient of the London Home Builder Award of Creative Excellence - Million Dollar Sales Achievement consecutively for 5 years:  2004-2008.  By 2018-2019 a series of misfortunate falls ultimately ended her career.

The biggest Angel on Earth is now in heaven.  The family would like to thank the doctors, residents, nurses, physiotherapists and PSW's in the Orthopaedic/Trauma Unit 9th floor and Palliative Care Unit 6th floor (Victoria Campus LHSC).  As per Doris's wishes, a private, intimate Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Cremation has taken place.  In honour of Doris, a Memorial Donation may be made to the hospital at lhsf.ca/ways-give and select area of your choice.  On-line condolences are available through www.woodlandcemetery.on.ca
