Obituary of Carol Lorraine Ellison

Surrounded by her loved ones, at Victoria Hospital on May 1, 2022. Beloved wife of her soul mate Guy Ellison for 40 years. Cherished mother of Lindsay Verriez (Troy Verriez) and Courtney Simpson (Nick Simpson). Proud Grandma to Jackson and Kieran Verriez and Colton and Fiona Simpson. Dear sister to Gail McNeilage (James McNeilage), Tom Johnson (Rosita Johnson), Pamela Johnson-Levstik (John Levstik), and Deborah Cann (Bob Cann). Also missed by many nieces and nephews.

Carol touched many lives as a teacher with TVDSB for 35 years. She was an avid pickleball player, enthusiastically joining in many games a week with Guy and their friends. Carol walked countless miles with her husband. Their quick pace was a common sight in their neighborhood. Carol and Guy loved a good euchre game and the pandemic didn’t stop them. They kept up weekly euchre games online with their friends. More than anything, what brought Carol joy was being with her family. Her memory will continue to be honoured at every family gathering and celebration. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery, to be followed by a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial page has been set up with the Pancreatic Cancer society in Carol’s name, and donations may be made there.
