I'm surprised and saddened that Marlene has passed away. I worked with her mom Doris at Western Tire & Auto Supply in 1961. Since Marlene married my first cousin Johnny Worotny we eventually realized that I had known her mom. I had a Christmas dinner with Michelle and Marlene a few years back just before Covid and was stunned when Michelle died shortly thereafter. I know the loss Marlene felt at her daughter's death having had my own son predecease me. I sincerely hope they are resting in each other's arms. So sorry for your family loss.

I met Marlene at Walmart. We had an instant friendship! She talked about you and all of her family a lot. She had many wonderful memories to tell and she did often. She was very proud of, and felt blessed by all of you. When I would go and visit her, she would show me her pictures, gardens, and books. She was a very proud loving lady with an awesome sense of humour. I loved her very much and she will be missed beyond measure.

I first met Marlene in 1963, who was a friend of a buddy of mine, Richard Stocking, and was the first girl I met in Byron. Great personality, lots of positive energy, and fun to be around. Knew her brother Al, and her sisters Gayle and Gloria….a really great family. Condolences to all her family, it is a tough time to navigate thru. I know how you feel, having just lost my little sis Sheila last month. God speed Marlene, and rest well…..you will be remembered..
