Marlene Marie (nee Blunt) Tower
April 3rd, 1948 – November 15th, 2024
Peacefully and surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, November 15th, 2024, at LHSC Victoria Hospital, Marlene Tower passed away in her 77th year.
Marlene was a beloved mother to daughters Michelle Kelly and Nicole Worotny (Jim Clark) and son Scott Dolsen, as well as a loving grandmother to Zachary, Jeff and Derek Kelly and Rachel, Nolan and Wyatt Clark.
Marlene has gone to rest in paradise with her daughter Michelle.
She is survived by her siblings Gail, Gloria, Gerry (Dawn), Don, Barry (Monica) and Kerri and predeceased by her son-in-law Dean Kelly, brother Albert Blunt, sister Nancy Frederick and parents Bert and Doris Blunt.
Marlene was the best mom, grandma and big sister and will be forever in the hearts of her brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was a dedicated employee of Loblaws for over 23 years, managed several variety stores and took great joy in driving a school bus for Langs Bus Lines. She wrapped up her career by working in the cash office at Walmart (White Oaks Mall). Marlene was a very hard worker and a generous person with a big heart.
Cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 30th, at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery. All are welcome. A celebration of life and reception will be held following the service at the Dorchester Lions Active Living Centre located at 2066 Dorchester Road, Dorchester (attached to the arena). Please feel free to join us to celebrate the love and life of Marlene.
