August 31, 1936 – November 16, 2018

A Great Man Has Left Us.

Maurice Emile Baetens died in London, Ontario amongst family, surrounded by love and admiration.  His wife Maria of 60 years was at his side and unrelenting in her devotion and tenderness in Maurice’s final months and days.

Maurice, son of the late Martha and Jules Baetens and brother of the late Jules Baetens, is survived by the love of his life, Maria (nee, Vastmans); his daughter Linda (husband Chuck); his son Gerard (wife Robin); his son Albert (wife Davoelene); his grandchildren Melissa, Matthew, Allison, Jason, Noah, James, and Martin and Daniel; his nieces and nephew in Windsor, Ontario; and, the extended Vastmans family in Belgium.

We are truly saddened by this loss. If your schedule permits, please join us between 5:00 – 7:00pm on November 24, 2018, at Boler Mountain in London Ontario to celebrate our families’ leader and pioneer.
