I am so sorry to hear of Barb's passing. She was a very special lady and I have such good memories of my time as a teacher at Trafalgar, where she was an icon. Anyone who taught at Trafalgar during those days will say it was a special place. Barb was an inspiration and leader in our school. I remember that even after she retired, she continued to come back every year for graduations until the last of her grade ones had graduated. She has left you with many great memories that will comfort you. Norma Ferguson

I am so sorry to read that Barb has passed away. We have so many great memories of teaching, fun and travel together. Today, I am thinking back over the great and crazy times we had . We had such fun during our classroom teaching days and more fun on the year end trips we took with our classes in June. It was a lucky break for me to be transferred to Trafalgar in 1989 as I found friends , teaching support and great experiences. Barb and Mike were always ready for an adventure and opened their home for many evenings of celebration. We are sad that both are now gone but memories will last forever. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Jane and Jose Silverio

Thanks Jane.....I'm not sure what she loved more....teaching or celebrating! ;-) We miss her terribly, but we are happy that she is free now! Stay safe!

My memories of Mrs.Croxford bring me such happiness to this day. An inspiration to me from grade 1 on. I remember helping in the classroom at recesses, I remember our pizza lunches at the end of the year. I still have my snowglobe from our trip to the Toronto Zoo while in grade 1. Mrs. Croxford was a teacher that cared, that inspired, that encouraged and that believed in her students! I feel honoured to have been able to share in a portion of her life. You will always be thought of and always remembered. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Laura (Wendover) McSloy

Hey Laura. Thanks for taking the time to write something. You were one of my Mom's very favourites! Teaching was her life, and she was never prouder than when a student excelled - and then came back to help! I hope you are keeping well!

Ahhh Barb, what can we say? We shared everything as friends, colleagues and inducted family members. You are an inspiration to anyone who had the good fortune to know you. We will love you through eternity. The many students you taught will carry your legacy teaching their own moving forward. Our memories of you and Mike sustain us and always make us smile. Patty, Rob and family, we share your deep sorrow, but are so thankful for knowing your dear parents, and consider you family. Barb our eternal love to you and Mike as you join each other in a heavenly game.
